Steve Easter secures maximum win at Shropham

Steve Easter's performance at skip helped his triple to come from 8-13 down with just two ends remaining to snatch a 14-13 win against T. Cursley, M. Chapman and D. Green as a four and brace secured victory. A measure was needed to decide the second bowl of the last end and it went Wymondham's way. For much of the match however the Shropham triple were much the better but a good piece of captaining from Melvyn meant he swapped positions with Steve. Shropham's Dennis Green had managed the game well with his triple and they looked well on their way to vitory but just failed to hold on for what would of been a deserved win. Roger Steele, Brian Saunders and Chris Mann were in good form to record a 35-1 win as Chris was dominant throughout and held shot on every single end after he had bowled, end fifteen the Shropham skip managed to take shot and was very trying throughout. Pat Saunders, Laura Hawksworth and Debbie Sparham won 30-11 as they raced into a 14-0 lead after five ends and a flurry of shots late on saw them score thirty shots. Billie Barker, John Jeffery and Jon Sparham had a slow start but then raced away picking up 23 shots over eleven ends to put the match beyond Shropham.
