Club have ground to make up in second leg of cup

The first leg of Norwich cup semi final saw Wymondham travel to Upton to face Halvergate where the club faces a battle to progress to the final needing to overturn the 11-5 defeat which saw the pairs discipline give Halvergate the most retuern on the night. Both triples went on first and were well beaten as Billie Barker, Laura Hawksworth and Debbie Sparham lost 1-14 while Hayley Osborne, Melvyn Barker and Chris Mann eventually went down 6-8. Chris swapped with Melvyn after just three ends with the last two ends saw them score two three's. Halvergate's Keith Cooke drawing was the big difference between the triples. The pairs again struggled but were more hard fought as John Jeffery and Jon Sparham went down 5-7 while Roger Steele and Jack Pye came from 3-6 down to draw 6-6 against Donna and David Lamb. Wymondham had by far their best session in the second half of the triples as Debbie Sparham's triple beat Keith Cooke 9-6 while Melvyn Barker's triple stormed to an 18-0 win over Robbie Lamb. The pairs again were closely contested but lost both as Jon Sparham lost on the last end to David Lamb 5-7 while Jack Pye lost 4-8 to Ryan Fox.
