Club through on shots in dramatic Norwich cup tie

The second leg of the Norwich Cup semi final against Halvergate saw the triples lead the way on the night collecting seven of the eight points on offer. Roger Steele, Steven Easter and Debbie Sparham were in fine form together as they produced brilliant wins of 14-1 and 16-5 against Kieth Cooke and then Robbie Lamb's triples. In the first session Hayley Stratton, Melvyn Barker and Chris Mann beat Robbie Lamb's triple 7-4 while a missed oppourtunity on the last end of their second match against Cooke resulted in a 7-7 draw but in the end proved enough. John Jeffery and Jon Sparham had a night to forget losing both match's but Jack Marshall and Jack Pye produced the goods with a 10-6 win over Karl and Terry Newby in the first session and in their second match of the final session clinched victory with a hard fought 7-4 win against Josh Baxter and David Lamb with Jack Pye playing some good shots to keep the pair in the match at times. The club now face Bob Carter in the final as they were given their semi final tie by Hempnall.
