Club produces solid win at First Bus

The club has a decent record at First Bus at kept that intact when all four match's were won well on the night. Neil Davidson, John Jeffery and Chris Mann beat Elaine Oatway, Peter Fox and Colin Coman 25-10. The first eleven ends produced 24 shots for Wymondham before First Bus replied when Peter Fox went skip but the damage was already done. Simon Warnes, Jack Pye and Debbie Sparham beat Di Quadling, Dave Quadling and Sue Fox 17-9. Eight shots picked up over the first four ends gave the Wymondham triple a lead to protect which they did well as the First Bus triple tried to reply. A series of ones kept the scoreboard ticking over from ends seven to ten which saw their lead increased to 12-3 and from there saw the match out. Second session saw Jack Marshall replace John Jeffery at two with Neil Davidson and Chris Mann as they beat Sue Fox's triple 18-5. A solid performance again from Wymondham who only dropped sinlges over five ends for a comfortable result. On mat 2 Sparham's triple beat Bob Oatway, Chris Brooks and David Sharpe 17-8. This was probably the toughest match of the night but one where Wymondham were up for the challenge and played well. The first seven ends averaged over two shots per end with the score 10-5. David Sharpe was playing well in periods but could not produce every end as Wymondham slowly started to tighten their grip on the match which saw the home triple only score on two more ends. Deb was also not to be outdone at skip and too played some good shots and was backed up well by Simon and Jack.
