Final in sight after emphatic first leg win

The club will take a big sixty three shot lead with them when they travel to Connaught A in the second leg of the Breckland five pairs after a ruthless performance from the home side in the first leg last night. Every pairing managed to score a four at some point in their matches as they piled on the pressure. Jon Sparham and John Jeffery top scored with a crushing 19-2 win to set up an early 31-6 lead after two pairings had played. Pat Saunders and Debbie Sparham opened the tie with a 12-4 win while Roger Steele and Chris Mann won their match 14-4. The last two pairings also weighed in with heavy scores as Brian Saunders, Jack Pye and Melvyn Barker and Mark Linsdell won 17-2 and 17-4.
