Club finish Breckland season with 5 pairs victory

In what has been one of the most successful season's in the clubs history with the Breckland league won again and all four disciplines won in the Dennis Moore tournament the club rounded of the season clinching the five pairs against Carleton Rode. Hayley Osborne and Chris Mann were the first pairing on against Steve Hawkins and Neil Davidson and went down by one shot at 7-8. Steve Easter and Debbie Sparham got the better of Jill and Russell Davidson in the later stages and gave Wymondham a five shot lead winning 13-7. Simon Warnes and Owen Cranston found Dave Blundell and Karl Newby in good form as the tie swung back in their favour with a 4-13 win to give Rode a five shot lead. The overall scores were tied 39-39 going into the final pairing as Andrew Jackson and Melvyn Barker produced a gritty 9-4 win over Mike and Terry Newby. John Jeffery and Jon Sparham were in fine form and put any doubts to bed early in their match as they produced two maximum four shot ends to lead 8-0 and went on to win 6-14 to seal a 38-47 win overall.
